3 Months

Eliza is 3 months old, I can't believe it. I'm still not the photographer I wish I was, but I think you get the idea. It is Christmas at our house and I love it. The tree is ablaze in the corner and the stockings are draped over the couch with care.

Eliza at three months is:
roughly 12 lbs,
smiling at everyone (except the camera),
still a good sleeper,
constantly making bubbles on her chin,
holding her head up like a champ,
standing (with support),
and she loves to sing with Mom and dance with Dad.

We just enjoy every minute with her.

Thanksgiving in Rochester

Thanks Gardners for having us over. We had a great time and tons of good food. Eliza loved the attention and we loved the company. We have such great friends!

Family Trip to Boston

For my birthday we took a spontaneous trip to the coast. The 7 hour drive took us about 9 hours with lunch, nursing, diapers changes, and one flat tire. But, Brad likes to drive and I like to read out loud so it was great.

Bubbles!

Swimming with Dad. The pool was very uninviting. Very sad since it was what drew us to that hotel. Half the lights were out and the air temp was about 60. The water was warm but it was also misty and condensing on the ceiling and then dripping down all over. Picture a cave with a warm water pool in it. There would have been stalactites if there were more minerals in the water. Dad and Eliza thought it was OK but I was not willing to get in so I took pictures and wrapped Eliza up nice and warm when she came out.

On Harvard campus in front of one of the libraries. We were looking for the building from Fringe but we learned that it is actually filmed in Yale University, bummer.

Relaxin' in the hotel after a long day.

peek-a-boo! Dad lugged Eliza around all day and she slept most of the time, snug and cozy on his chest.

On the Boston Greenway, with the new bridge behind us.

Fall Retreat

From hot AZ to chilly NY my sister came to visit. We enjoyed the fall leaves, picking the last apples off the trees, baking yummy treats and photo shoots with the cuteness (oh, and a little Fringe season one)

Now she is home, the pie is gone, and it's really cold. What to do, what to do? Thankfully, we got a scrapbook started that will keep us busy and there's always Fringe season two.

Thanks for visiting!

Eliza's One Month Old

Look whose getting chubby!

Tell me that's not a smile :) Now do you believe me?
Here are the chubby cheeks and the belly!
You can see she's grown from the 1 week old bath.

(oh my... that belly; it must be the way she's sitting ;)

She still sleeps a lot. She loves the swing but will sleep in her bed too. She is a good eater and lets me sleep pretty well at night.
We took her out to eat for the first time a few days ago. Babies get so much more attention here. Strangers want to know her name and how old she is and tell us she's beautiful, which we know of course. You just don't get that in Utah; too many babies there I guess.
Anyway, she is a great baby and we couldn't love her more.

Getting back to normal and Milestones

Grandma made sure we got a picture of Eliza's first bath. Her ambilical cord fell off in 5 days, we always knew she would be ahead of the norm. She loved the bath, btw.

We had visiting General Authorities for a regional conference and I wanted to go. Reminder to myself: sit in the Relief Society room if all the pews are full not the hard folding chairs. Anyway, we got dressed and had an outing. Eliza slept the whole time, she is a pretty good little sleeper and will sleep anywhere so far.

This ones pretty good except for her crazy eyes.

Moms front porch swing is the best. Brad had been doing lots of yard work but took a break to sit with me and enjoy the beautiful fall afternoon.

My little burrito.

I want to get some close ups of Eliza, but I am not the photographer I wish I was. She is adorable but none of these shots really highlight her cute face. It's a work in progress I guess.

Eliza Joy Hyatt

Eliza is here! She weighs 6 lbs 9 oz; she was born early on September 4th. Mom and baby are both doing great. We struggled a bit to decide on a name, but we're very excited about "Eliza Joy Hyatt." Thanks to everyone for being so supportive and helping us with the process. Enjoy some pictures:

Also, here's a link to some baby portraits:

Potpourri

My friends threw me a baby shower weeks ago. We forgot to get any pictures but I did manage to get this one last minute. It was a fun time to be with friends and eat great food. Thanks for all who helped and came! And thanks for making it Jodie, even with your crazy life.
(notice how small the belly was then, oh those were the days)

Brad and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary yesterday. Well mostly I celebrated by being showered with gifts from my sweet heart who's been gone for 4 weeks.

He had this cake brought to my house and my family and I enjoyed eating it. He had these roses delivered as well as two packages I am not allowed to open till he gets here. (the suspense is killing me)

I promise I am happy in this picture. It's just hard to look too happy when you are 39 weeks pregnant.

I just have to put these on here. These darling booties were hand made, not by me, and I love them. Just wanted to show them off. If you want to know who made them just ask, I am sure you can put in an order ;)

I finally finished the baby blanket that I started last October. I love it. I can't get very good pictures of it because it's white and my camera... yeah is old. But here it is on the bassinet we are borrowing.

I decided I like knitting and am pretty good at it, so I am now making a Christmas stocking for our little one from a pattern my mom had. It's fun and way easier than the blanket even with all the color changes.

Well that's the catch up on the last few months. Next Post... newborn pictures! (hopefully)

36 weeks

Dear Brad, Your daughter is sooooo wiggly! I think she is doing the hokey pokey in there. She is tired of the cramped space, but she is being patient for now. We can't wait to see you! Hope you are getting lots of good schmoozing done.

We are trying to stay cool by the pool, but not get sunburned. We love the water but mostly we love the leftover brownies from the reception.

And yes, I am down to two dresses that I can still wear and they will have to last the next 4 weeks 'cause I am not buying anything. Rachel took this one for me with a camera that weighs almost as much as she does.
Thanks for thinking of names for baby girl. Keep them coming and I am sure we can decide on one soon.

Love you!!

Hannah

35 Weeks

Looking rather curvy these days.
